Poll: Favorite DVD Recycling Idea

According to the Worldwatch Institute, more than 540 tons of used CDs and DVDs are thrown away globally every year. Even though DVDs and CD consist of recyclable materials, the vast majority of discarded discs end up in landfills or incinerators anyway. What a shame.

It is estimated that it will take over 1 million years for a disc to completely decompose in a landfill. The best use of your DVDs CDs is to use them. Watching them, enjoying them, trade them, sell them off. But as prices drop to near valuelessness on more and more titles , the option to resell your discs is eliminated. For the inspiring crafts enthusiast, reuse means turning your old discs into essential pieces of a variety of creative ideas.
